I’ll Take Your Questions Now What I Saw in the Trump White House

I feel a little dirty after reading this book. It was enlightening to read some of the behind-the-scenes discussions that took place during Trump’s time in office but more often than not, it just felt like gossip. Politics interest me and I always follow what is going on in the world but once you start to delve deep enough, things always devolve into an elaborate soap-opera with higher stakes. That does make sense really since politics are essentially the product of interactions between people with complex emotions and motivations. How can it be anything but? For this reason, I rarely read this type of memoire. This book reminded me of that. I read nothing that redeemed Trump in my eyes nor did I read anything truly shocking. If I had it to do over, I would probably give this one a pass but I think that is more due to my personal taste in books than the quality of this one in particular.
