I pretty much always enjoy urban fantasy and this one was no exception. Despite what seems like a totally absurd premise when I write it here, the book is well-written and I will definitely read the next one in the series. As for the absurd premise, here it is; supernatural magic lady scours institutions for the mentally ill for recruits to join her division that regulates interactions between humans and fey. And the really brilliant creative people in our world have achieved success because they have found and been inspired by their fey “echo” which is a bit like their soulmate only so much deeper. So yeah, sounds a bit nutso but it is a fun one.
