Meh. Very stock story; poor girl has a hard life then finds she has powers she shouldn’t and is catapulted into the world of the elite. She feels very out of place and struggles to live up to expectations. There is a love story and some betrayal. Readable but nothing you haven’t read a million times before. Probably better for the young adult audience for which it is intended. They haven’t seen this plot quite as many times as I have.
