The Keeper of Lost Things

I found this sentimental tale to be clever and sweet. Having suffered an enormous loss himself, an aging author starts collecting lost things he finds and meticulously cataloguing them. The present-day storyline is interspersed with the stories of how the lost things came to be lost. When he dies, his loyal assistant learns he has bequeathed everything, including his treasured collection, to her with the request that she try to reunite the lost things with their owners. She struggles to do this while moving on in her own life and trying to solve the mystery of her former boss’ lost love.
